The Day of Community Sharing, held on Saturday, Aug. 5th, was a big success. Over 315 students were served, with community service representative available to talk with parents. All had a great time enjoying bouncy houses, face painting, balloon animals, ice cream & more.  Each registered student received new shoes/socks, a backpack with school supplies, a haircut, and a book. Also thanks to Samaritan's Feet for each pair of shoes a local student received another pair of shoes was provided to a third world child. Incorporating Stuart, Martinsville, Danville and surrounding counties, over 2,200 students were served on the same day. This was conducted in partnership with the Mercy Church and the Patrick County faith based community, the Patrick County Community Coalition and the Patrick County Extension Office.
